Beyond Symptom-management
I provide a compassionate and accepting space that fosters deep healing and understanding of your inner world. Our work together can help you connect with your innate strengths and inner wisdom, integrate all of who you are and unfold into a life that is resilient, meaningful, and authentic. My theoretical orientation is grounded in depth psychology - an exploration of unconscious influences that shape your experiences, relationships, and sense of purpose. My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from a variety of methods based on your needs and what shows up in our process. Our work, for example, might incorporate parts work, Jungian dreamwork, EMDR, somatic awareness, or expressive arts.
Your Needs, our Process at Your Pace:
The work we do together should respect your unique strengths, needs, and experiences. So, the therapeutic process looks a bit different with each client. You and I determine the process, frequency and duration of sessions in a way that honors your needs - not some algorithm. This ensures a personalized and effective therapeutic experience that is not constrained by arbitrary external limitations often found in insurance-based models.
Professional Information:
I began my clinical experience and training with my internship in 2004 and received my Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Regis University in 2005. I am licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado and am credentialed as a Certified EMDR Therapist through the EMDR International Association. With over twenty years of clinical experience and continuing education, I am trained in a number of approaches and techniques.
Let’s Get Started:
Research shows, time and again, that the most important factor in successful therapy is a good therapeutic relationship. It is important that you feel a sense of connectedness and attunement as well as empathy, safety, honesty and positive regard from your therapist. Therefore, I provide a free, full-length initial consultation so that we can talk about your therapeutic goals, needs, expectations and to determine if I am a good fit for you as a therapist. I invite you to reach out and schedule an initial consultation.
